Dedicated Care for Our Veterans: Accessing Community Services
Acupuncture and Massage Therapy in Colorado Springs
We are honored to serve our military veterans and their families. We've streamlined the process for accessing our specialized services, including Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, and more, through VA Community Care.
1. Securing Your VA Referral for Our Services
To begin receiving care, you must first secure a referral from your VA team.
-
If you have Chronic Pain, Injury, or Post-Surgery Concerns: Talk to your Primary Care Provider (PCP) or Pain Management Team (PMT/PMC).
-
If you have Chronic Health or Mental Health Concerns: Talk to your PCP or Psychiatrist.
The VA now officially endorses the effectiveness of Acupuncture and Massage Therapy for these conditions. Simply ask your doctor to submit a referral for the specific therapy you need.
2. Choosing The Healing Village, Inc.
The VA's scheduling typically routes you to the geographically closest available facility. To ensure your appointment is with our expert team, please explicitly provide your VA coordinator with our key identifying information:
Our Clinic NPI Number is 1306632260 (Please note: Our facility is verified in the VA system under the corporate name, The Healing Village, Inc.)
If the VA facility cannot accommodate your referral within a timely manner, the request will automatically transition to the Office of Community Care for external scheduling with our clinic.

Orthopedics Therapy for Pain Management and Rehabilitation: Veterans + Insured
Begin your Orthopedic Therapy and mental health journey with us, noting that verification is mandatory for all covered services. For Veterans and TriWest patients, Community Care will send our office your approved referral and will book your first appointment for you, as appointments cannot be secured without authorized documentation. For Personal Injury cases, we only accept select, pre-approved cases; case details must be reviewed and accepted by our clinic team prior to treatment. Finally, for patients with Major Insurance, we accept certain plans only, and we are required to verify your current coverage and benefits before confirming your initial appointment.
